It has come to my attention lately that there is a dying breed amongst us.
No, I'm not talking about "good writers" here on xanga. As far as I'm concerned, there are quite a few good writers on here.
No, I'm not talking about "knights in shining armour". There are a few females out there that have since stopped looking for that gorgeous muscular man to come trotting up on his white steed to rescue us from the mundane lives we lead.
I'm talking about cars. Not all cars in general. Apparently there are some models of cars out there that have long since lost a working BLINKER! We need to contact the car companies and make sure that they are still, in fact, installing properly working blinkers on their cars. Maybe that's why the car industry has been on the steady decline for a while now?!?!?!? I know it couldn't POSSIBLY be the drivers. No, of course not. There are NEVER at fault!
So, now I'm on a mission! BRING BACK THE BLINKERS!!!!

I am constantly amazed by the number of people who drive without functioning blinkers. It's astounding!
Lol! I always use my blinker... sometimes I use it if I'm taking a sharp turn, just out of habit, even if I'm not on an intersection. It's laughable. I'll admit it.
Ah colloquialisms. At first I thought you were talking about hazard lights, but I guess you're talking about turn signals.

We USE blinkers, but the right one doesn't work!
@Garistotle - It really is. I love waiting for someone to pass by me before I can turn only to find out that they are turning as well. And let's not even start talking about lane changing.

@randomneuralfirings - Yes, turn signals. I have decided that I don't want a new car because apparently the new cars are the ones with the problems.

Agreed. They obviously stopped making turn signals part of the standard equipment. and SUVs don't even appear to be available with an add-on blinker option from the factory any more. Gone the way of the full size spare, it appears.
i can see not using them if no one is behind you or coming from the opposite direction, but any other time, please use them!
quick question: if you don't use your turning signal and a cop is behind you, can he/she pull you over? (probably a stupid question, but just wondering if anyone knew lol)
@x_stephanii - I just asked my husband (who is a cop) and he said "yeah". He's a man of few words.
Yep, it's a definite travesty that so many cars are being made without their blinkers; something else that needs to be addressed is that so many people have apparently forgotten how to read the word "yield". It has obviously fallen off the face of the English language... someone needs to send a memo to the schools to put it back in circulation.
@AirForceVirgin - Very true! Not only that, but apparently they no longer teach "parking" in driver's education courses anymore. SAD SAD SAD!
LOL! Im on a car forum where some people talk about this, usually if they bump something and it dents their cars, I just say "It'll buff out" and move on.
But yes I think it'd be nice if people kept a check on their blinkers, I know I do. If it's dark out I will turn my flashers on and then check both left and right ones separately as well.
