  • I did it!!!!

Some of you might remember.  About a month ago, I took a two+ week break from xangaworld to study for a pretty big test I had coming up.  I am working on getting my teaching certification here in the great state (maybe one day Nation*) of Texas and had signed up to take a certification exam on April 4th.
I get HORRIBLE test anxiety.  Not only do I freak out BEFORE I take the test (thus requiring my total dedication to studying for hours on end), but for some reason all of my senses become ultra-sensitive DURING the test.  At one point during my test, I was considering beating a man to death because every two minutes he cleared his throat (yes I timed it and I was still the 3rd one to finish my test).
Anyway, all my freaking out and studying for an ungodly amount of time paid off!!!  Today I found out that
    I PASSED!!!!!!!!
So, now I'm qualified to teach EC-4th grade generalist and ESL.  The alternative certification program that I am planning to go through to become fully certified to teach requires that I take my TExES exam BEFORE they let anyone into the program.  So, now that I have passed and once I get into the program, my plan is to go and get certified to teach Special Education.  When all is said and done, I hope to be certified in, not only EC-4 Generalist/ESL, but also in Special Education.  Thus making me more marketable in a growing demand for teaching positions!
I just can't believe I passed!!!! I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!  I thought for sure I had failed!  I feel the need to celebrate now! LOL

*No, I'm not one to wish for Texas to secede from the Union.  I just wanted to throw that in there to see if you were paying attention! LOL*
